Gerry is the founder member of the Haringey Police Community Boxing Club and the driving force behind its success. He has many, many years experience in the sport. As well as being a serving Police officer & coach, Gerry is the club secretary and thus responsible for much of the administration duties. In addition, he is a member of the North West Division of London Boxing Association Council. As a boxer, Gerry was Metropolitan Police Boxing Champion and, as a coach, he has trained police squads for matches, and taken police teams to tournaments around the world, including the World Police Boxing Championships.

Gerry was recently awarded an MBE alongside club treasurer Ken Marsh; both personalities are invaluable to the club and amateur boxing in general.

Brian has proven to be one of the most successful coaches in London's amateur boxing scene, with many national champions to his name over the last twenty years including 7 times national junior champion & former British Bantamweight champion Martin Power & current English Light-heavyweight champion Peter Haymer. Prior to joining Haringey in 2001, Brian boxed and coached at St. Pancras for over twenty years. His boxers have managed to win a national title virtually every year - a record to be proud of. He also finds the time to run his thriving kitchen design and installation business. The culmination of years of dedication to his craft was three National ABA Senior finalists in one year (2000 - 2 winners, 1 runner up). This is a feat achieved only a couple of times before in post war years. Brian is a great motivator, astute strategist, and knows what it takes to be a winner.

A major achievement of the Haringey team was instigated by Brian who took boxers to compete in Box cup tournaments in Europe. The idea was then born to do our own on a larger scale to help develop amateur boxing in the UK. Hence, the whole team came together to start the first Haringey Box cup tournament at the prestigious Alexandra Palace venue.

Terri joined the Haringey team in 2005 and is a very busy match maker who has built up a good reputation in the sport. Terri has been involved in the sport for over 20 years and the majority of those years were spent at All Stars abc in West London . She plays a vital role keeping the boxers active but is also a coach and a judge.

Terri also works hard as the London Chairwoman for female boxing helping promote and develop female amateur boxing. Our female boxers have been very active and this has assisted their progress. It is the policy at Haringey police to provide the same opportunities for all our boxers.
