Brian has proven to be one of the most successful coaches in London's amateur boxing scene, with many national champions to his name over the last twenty years including 7 times national junior champion & former British Bantamweight champion Martin Power & current English Light-heavyweight champion Peter Haymer. Prior to joining Haringey in 2001, Brian boxed and coached at St. Pancras for over twenty years. His boxers have managed to win a national title virtually every year - a record to be proud of. He also finds the time to run his thriving kitchen design and installation business. The culmination of years of dedication to his craft was three National ABA Senior finalists in one year (2000 - 2 winners, 1 runner up). This is a feat achieved only a couple of times before in post war years. Brian is a great motivator, astute strategist, and knows what it takes to be a winner.
A major achievement of the Haringey team was instigated by Brian who took boxers to compete in Box cup tournaments in Europe. The idea was then born to do our own on a larger scale to help develop amateur boxing in the UK. Hence, the whole team came together to start the first Haringey Box cup tournament at the prestigious Alexandra Palace venue.
