Keep fit, recreational boxing classes are aimed at anyone, men, women and young people of all ages who would like to learn the skills of boxing and achieve the fitness required in a purely recreational and social way. The sessions include bag work, skipping, pads, technique, circuits etc. Supervised sparring will also be available to anyone wishing to take part, but this is by no means compulsory. Apart from achieving a great level of fitness you will gain confidence and learn self-defence techniques. You will train at your own level. The coaches, who are all qualified England Boxing trained and DBS checked, will try and push you as much as possible, but will allow anyone to sit out of a section of training if they are feeling fatigued. All equipment is available for your use but we do recommend you purchase hand wraps, and a gum shield is compulsory if sparring. These can be purchased from the club along with other boxing equipment.
